Well we set out to photographer Harper's Christmas/Birthday session however the weather was anything but impressive. We had a great location but no sun light for golden hour. Sometimes as a photographer you need to think outside the box so we used a little trick we know to recreate our own golden hour. These images were shot on a Nikon D810 with a Nikkor 200mm f/2 prime lens. We used one Godox TT600 off camera flash with the Godox X1T transmitter to pop the flash. We mounted the flash on a simple light stand and placed it in the woods about 15 yards away. On the flash head we used a full CTO gel and our Magmod system. Exposed for the subjects and set the flash power at 1/32 power. Here are just a few results from this set up and our fake golden hour. Here are also some links to the equipment used.
